- Website update services (charged at an hourly rate)
Unless agreed in writing, our services do not include:
- Website hosting
- Domain registration
- Logo design or branding
- Content creation (such as text or images)
Project Scope
The details of each project will be agreed before work begins. Any requests outside of the agreed scope may be treated as additional work and charged at our standard hourly rate.
Payment Terms
- A 25% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins
- The remaining 75% must be paid in full before the website is delivered or transferred
- We will not begin work until the deposit has been received
- We will not release final files or website access until full payment is made
- We may pause or delay work if payments are not received
Client Responsibilities
- Provide all required content, including text, images, and logos, before work begins
- Ensure you have the right to use any materials you provide
- Respond to requests and provide feedback within a reasonable timeframe
We are not responsible for issues arising from content provided by you, including where it is inaccurate, incomplete, or infringes third-party rights.
Project Timelines & Delays
- Project timelines depend on timely communication and delivery of materials
- Delays on your part may extend the overall project timeline
- If we do not receive a response for 25 consecutive days, we may cancel the project
If a project is cancelled due to lack of response, any payments made will be retained.
Revisions
A reasonable number of revisions may be included depending on the agreed scope. Additional revisions or changes outside of that scope may be charged at our standard hourly rate.
Delivery & Completion
A project will be considered complete once the agreed work has been delivered. Final delivery or transfer of the website will only take place after full payment has been received.
Refund Policy
- The initial deposit is non-refundable
- Payments are non-refundable once work has started
- Any work completed up to that point remains chargeable
Intellectual Property
- Ownership of the completed website transfers to you once full payment has been received
- We may display completed projects in our portfolio and marketing materials
- You retain ownership of any content you provide
Footer Credit
We may include a small credit link to our website in the footer of websites we create.
Third-Party Services
We may rely on third-party services, tools, or plugins when delivering our services.
We are not responsible for issues, downtime, or changes caused by these third-party providers.
Where any third-party services require payment (including, but not limited to, hosting or premium plugins), you are responsible for covering those costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Support Disclaimer
Whilst we provide free post-launch support and instructions for websites we create, we can't guarantee we'll always be able to resolve any issues via guidance alone. Some problems may require us to manually fix them within the website code, which will be quoted at our hourly rate for the time it takes to fix, though this service is optional.
Performance Disclaimer
We may apply best practices relating to:
- Website speed
- SEO
- Conversion optimisation
However, we do not guarantee specific outcomes, including search rankings, traffic levels, conversions, or performance scores.
Security Disclaimer
We take reasonable steps to apply security measures. However, no website can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We are not responsible for security issues that arise after project completion, including those related to hosting or third-party services.
Legal Compliance
We design websites with general UK legal requirements in mind. However, we do not provide legal advice, and you remain responsible for ensuring your website complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Data loss or website downtime
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Termination
Either you or we may end a project at any time.
- You will be responsible for paying for any work completed up to that point
- Payments made are non-refundable
We may also terminate services immediately in cases such as non-payment, misuse, or unlawful requests.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including illness, technical issues, or internet outages.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
