Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to certain questions you may have about my services, relating to pricing, timing and much more.

There are 2 parts of the payment process: the initial deposit and the final payment.

The initial deposit is 25% of the total project price whereas the final payment is the remaining 75% of the price. For both payments, I’ll send a link to a Stripe checkout page where you can complete the payment. There’s no deadline for either payment, though I can’t continue the process until the respective payment has been completed.

To ensure client commitment to the project, you’ll need to pay the deposit after the discussion phase and before work on your website officially begins. You can make the final payment after the revision phase once your site is complete.

You should automatically be emailed a receipt for each payment after completing them.

Most of the major credit/debit cards (such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express) are accepted.

Furthermore, all of these payment methods are also accepted:

  • Pay By Bank
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay
  • Amazon Pay
  • Samsung Pay
  • Revolut Pay
  • Link

Unfortunately, PayPal isn’t an accepted method of payment.

Most of the time, no.

However, there may be some additional charges if:

  • You significantly expand the scope of the website as it’s being developed.
  • You request more/larger revision rounds than your pricing plan allows.
  • Your website is particularly complex.

If any of these criteria are met, you’ll be quoted at my hourly rate of £25/hour for the time it takes me to complete the necessary extra work. Don’t worry though, as I’ll inform you of this beforehand and will provide a rough estimate of how much extra will be charged.

Also, if your website requires certain payment-locked plugins/services to function properly then that will also be added to the total price. However, most websites won’t need these as I always try to use free plugins.

I create custom-coded Wordpress websites, meaning I use tools such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and many more to create a fully custom Wordpress theme (designed from scratch, no templates) which you can make edits and changes to via regular Wordpress. Furthermore, I’ll ensure it’s compatible with any plugins that you need.

If you're a website beginner, don't feel intimidated with using Wordpress to manage your site. It was designed with beginners in mind, meaning it will be very easy to edit, update and manage your site post-launch regardless of your experience. Furthermore, I'll provide beginner-frinedly tutorials for further assistance.

If you're use to using another CMS (such as Shopify) to manage websites, then don't worry, as my helpful yet detailed tutorials will make it as easy as possible for you to switch over, and I'll always be one email away for post-launch support.

You’ll need to have:

  • Your logo
  • Your text content
  • Your image content

If you don’t have these prepared straight away then don’t worry, as there’s no deadline to provide them by. However, due to my way of designing websites, I can’t begin working on your site until I have these ready.

If you can’t provide any of these then I’ll work with you to find a solution - such as guiding you on how to make them yourself or hiring someone else to do it. Don’t feel intimidated having to create these, you don’t need to be a professional graphic designer or content writer to make effective website content.

Yes, assuming it’s realistic, I can meet a specific deadline you have for an affordable extra price. It'll usually cost no more than £25 - £100, though it depends on how fast the deadline is.

It depends on which hosting provider you use, though it'll generally involve giving me some sort of admin role which will essentially allow me to upload the website for you.

For all of my clients, I’d strongly recommend using Hostinger because it's fast, reliable and meets all of my requirements meaning I can fully support it. I can also get you a discount for its hosting plan.

I’ll provide free support and instructions for each step of the process, so don’t worry if you’re a beginner.

Yes, I can provide both of these services for you.

Once your website is live, you can always email me with any questions or issues you encounter regarding your site and I’ll provide free support and instructions.

Furthermore, if you’d prefer me to do the work for you, you can contact me to request my post-launch updates service, where I can implement updates and changes of any size or kind into your site once it’s live.

Yes, I develop websites with beginners in mind, meaning your site will be easy for anyone, no matter their technical expertise, to edit, update, manage and maintain post-launch.

Furthermore, I’ll provide beginner-friendly tutorials on how to edit and manage your website once it’s live, and you can always email me with any issues you encounter and I’ll provide free support and instructions.

It will, but very little. It’ll only be about an hour’s worth of very quick and easy maintenance per month, just some small component updates for bug fixes, performance and security.

I’ll provide beginner-friendly tutorials on how to perform any necessary maintenance for your website post-launch, and you can always email me with any issues you encounter and I’ll provide free support and instructions.

No, I never use AI for designing or developing websites. I do all of the work myself.
